This past weekend, 23 undergraduate brothers and 3 alumni volunteers from the University of Evansville chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity attended the Carlson Leadership Academy in Chicago. The Carlson Leadership Academy uses alumni to teach undergraduate brothers from SigEp chapters across the country how to improve the organization. Members of the Executive Board and Rising Leaders of the chapter attended the conference and gained valuable leadership skills. Participants had the opportunity to chose different sessions to learn about different positions that can be held in the fraternity and the information discussed can be implemented to improve the local chapter. During meals, participants listened to key-note speakers as they shared valuable knowledge about how to improve the organization. Members of the chapter were able to attend the conference free of personal charge due to the generous donations of the alumni volunteers and supporters of the organization.
